Il fait chaud. Enfin non, il faisait chaud. Il y avait beaucoup de monde autour de la piscine, ça sautait, ça plongeait, ça courait (alors qu’on n’a pas le droit), ça allait et venait avec les verres de soda de la buvette. Les filles riaient bêtement, les garçons faisaient semblant d’avoir des muscles. Et puis là-haut le soleil brillait, si fort, que j’en suis devenue aveugle.
It’s hot. Well, no, it was hot. There was a lot of people around the pool, they were jumping, diving, running (though it was forbidden), they were coming and going with the refreshment bar’s soda glasses. The girls were giggling, the boys were acting as if they had muscles. And up there the sun was shinning, so bright, I’ve gone blind.
