Alexandria de Tooth Ache m’avait fortement touché et impressionné  par son titre « Skin » à paraitre sur le single 7″ Skin/Lazarus chez Father/Daughter Records dans le courant du mois d’août. Quelle surprise de recevoir, il y a quelques jours le titre « cave » qui se trouve sur la cassette Burlington, Vermont de NNA Tapes, comprenant 8 titres de 8 de leurs artistes fétiches (Tooth Ache, Greg Davis, Toby Aronson, Ryan Power, Lawrence Welks & Our Bear to Cross, Cosmic Matrix, Chubby Wonder, et A Snake in the Garden). Et comme tout joyaux, je l’ai longtemps gardé simplement pour moi. Écouté de multiples fois… J’entends encore le bruit de la pioche martelé la matière jusqu’à la pépite. Les gouttes d’efforts perler mon front.

What a surprise to receive a few days ago the song « Cave » on the Burlington, Vermont tape by NNA Tapes made of 8 tracks of 8 of their favorite artists (Tooth Ache, Greg Davis, Toby Aronson, Ryan Power, Lawrence Welks & Our Bear To Cross, Cosmic Matrix, Chubby Wonder, and A Snake in the Garden). As with all gems, I kept it only for myself longtime. Listened to it many times…I can still hear the noise of the pickaxe hammering the material up to the nugget. The drops of endeavor beading on my forehead.
