Nous n’avions jamais été aussi près de pointer les cieux à l’écoute des compositions du premier album Forget The Mantra de Dave Hartley (membre de The War on Drugs) aka Nightlands. Et comme le fait si justement remarquer Pitchfork, la musique s’apparente à celle d’Active Child avec ces nappes de pop synthétiques. Mais rien ne parait synthétique, faux… De ces envolées aux multiples instrumentations, la musique de Nightlands nous transporte jusqu’au plus haut. Touchant le firmament !

We had never been so close to heaven through the listening of Forget The Mantra, the first record of Dave Hartley (member of The War On Drugs) aka Nightlands. And as Pitchfork is wisely pointing at, his music is that of Active Child and their layers of synthetic pop. But nothing is synthetic, wrong…With his flights of multiple instrumentations, Nightlands’ music is driving us higher. Touching heavens !
