Signataire d’un univers atypique où se rencontrent pêle-mêle Henry Mancini, Kraftwerk, la Super Nintendo et les films de John Boorman, la jeune Danz donne à entendre une tambouille sonore qui va à l’encontre de ces croisements improbables. Si les titres issus de son premier EP Hiding From Our Time relevaient de l’amateurisme touchant, les deux nouvelles scansions acidulées qui flânent sur son myspace dénoncent un parti pris un peu moins lo-fi. Une immédiateté pop qui fait crisser des riffs en carton pâte dans un baroud de rayons laser (Victory Gin) ou s’évanouir des choeurs doo-wop sur une ascension down-tempo (About You). Comme si Liz Phair s’était flanquée de l’aura minimal du Yellow Magic Orchestra.

A pop-like directness that is making riffs squealing into pasteboard all in laser battle (Victory Gin) or that is makingdoo wop choirs faint on a down-tempo hill (About You). As if Liz Phair had given a minimal aura to Yellow Magic Orchestra.
