Vous connaissez très certainement, depuis que vous suivez le Delicious Scopitone, Mark Webber dans sa formation avec Neon Canyon et Japan Sue. Peut-être un peu moins dans son projet solo Memory Screen. Pourtant nous en avions déjà parlé, il y a de cela une année. Nous voilà donc prêts tout naturellement pour accompagner la sortie de son Ep éponyme sorti ce jour et téléchargeable sur son profil bandcamp. Pour ceux qui préfèrent l’objet, et je ne peux que m’en réjouir, une version cassette (100 exemplaires et accompagné par un poster de l’artiste Tyler Los-Jones) est également disponible chez Silent Farm Recording au prix de $7 ou directement auprès de l’artiste pour la modique somme de $5.
De nappes électro au bercement de la voix de Mark, ce nouvel Ep nous invite à plonger corps et âme comme nous pourrions céder à une longue et délicieuse sieste. Aux bords de l’abîme, mes cauchemars se sont transformés en rêve des plus doucereux.
La mémoire méritant parfois qu’on lui indique le chemin à prendre, je vous invite à suivre et inscrire le tumblr de Mark dans vos préférences et je peux d’ores et déjà vous annoncer une collaboration future avec Brooke Manning aka LOOM.
As you are faithful to Delicious Scopitone, you probably know Mark Webber through his contribution to Neon Canyon and Japan Sue. You may not know about his solo project called Memory Screen. For those who would rather have the object, I am of course glad to tell that a version on tape (100 copies with a Tyler Los-Jones poster included) is also available on Silent Farm Recording for $7 or directly through the artist for only $5.
From electro layers to the lullaby of Mark’s voice, this new EP is inviting us to plunge body and soul into music as we would do for a long and delicious nap. On the abyss side, my nightmares morphed into sweetish dreams.
